In conjunction with the Bloody Slow Cup, Police hold a competition known as Miss Police
Legacy, where nominations are taken from members of the community who wish to be the
face of the cup and assist with fundraising.
The role of Miss Police Legacy is to act as a promoter for the weekend, while fundraising with
different events and activities along the way. In previous years, entrants have held events such as trivia nights, raffles, a car wash and food stalls. Each year the entrants work closely with Newman Police to make the event a successful one.
The winner of the competition is the entrant who has been able to fundraise the highest
amount during their personal fundraising campaign. The winner is announced at the
commencement of the rugby match during the 2018 Bloody Slow Cup. Each entrant and their fundraising achievements are acknowledged on the night.
Previous entrants have described how they have found the experience a rewarding one, giving back to an organisation such as Police Legacy who do so much for people in need.
The Newman Police are very thankful to those thoughtful ladies of the community who put
their hand up to participate in this very important campaign.
